Can I load data from the My Movies online service in my third party application?
Answer:
My Movies have an API to our online service available to third party professionals through our installer program. Please contact installers@mymovies.dk for details, where a sample application is also available for reviewing the service and the data. The source code for the sample application is available after joining our installer program.
The sample application contains source code for reading disc id's for DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD titles, as well as an option of reading "Online Id's" that can be used to uniquely identify DVD and Blu-ray titles stored on storage as BDMV, VIDEO_TS or ISO files.
The sample application shows how to search and load data for titles based on disc id/online id searches, barcode searches, IMDB id searches and title searches.
Developers of commercial or non-commercial software applications that target end-users and not commercial companies, who wish to use the My Movies API in their application may contact us at contact@mymovies.dk for information on a solution where the the end-customer can purchase an API account directly from My Movies. This option is available only for applications that is not seen as competitive to the My Movies software solutions, unless the potential of the application is considered to be on a level where it has commercial interest to My Movies.
Access to the API is unfortunately not available to private individuals. Private individuals can use the API option available in our software solutions.
